Short story,
WARNING: Mentioning of blood and death!
Gemina had always been considered 'odd', even from birth. Seeing her opening her eyes for the very first time, Gemina's parents were slightly shocked at their color (Her mother's are brown, and her father's are green). But, they had brushed it off as simply being a birth defect, seeing how stressed her mother was during pregnancy. She had been dealing with it for quite some time, along with her husband.
The economy was not in their favor, so before Gemina was even born, they moved from Greece to America since her father had gotten a better job opportunity. Everything seemed fine at first, until they noticed certain things about their growing daughter. At age six, she began speaking to herself, sounding in distress, almost as if she were fighting with herself.
Thinking it was nothing more than a harmless imaginary friend, they paid no mind. All children go through this stage, correct? She would soon grow out of it, right?
Making friends was extremely hard for Gemina, her strange beaver scaring off most. She had manged a few, but spent most of her time with..."Twin". That was her 'imaginary' friend's name, she told her parents they looked very similar, though enjoyed many different things. She seemed frightened when her parents questioned exactly what things Twin liked, changing the subject quickly.
Again, they paid no mind, their jobs not giving them much time to think.
And then, she began high-school. She was teased about her appearance constantly, but she laughed it off. She figured the pain would go away if she lost herself in laughter, though it sounded painful. Her face was always lit up by a bright smile, cheerful personality everywhere she went. She made few friends, but still felt alone, like they didn't honestly care for her.
I care for you...A voice would chant...
I love my twin...They all hate you.Again, again...
Let me play with them! I'll make them laugh like you!...and again.
As time went on, she began noticing something different about her reflection. Instead of a bright smile, it looked disoriented, slowly merging into a crooked smile. This reflection didn't belong to her, she knew for a fact. The sweet nothings it whispered throughout her mind gave comfort from the taunting...at first.
The voice....her 'twin', was beginning to scare her. It was starting to 'control' her mind and body, though she tries in vain to keep it locked away. That is, until something 'it' said made her snap...
Your parents don't love you...That's why they never spent much time with you. I've always been here, haven't I? I can take the pain away...I'll make all those who laughed at you, laugh with you as I play with them. You know the saying "Laughing to death"? I can do that! When you hear loud noises coming from their mouths, it may sound like screaming, but it's really laughter! Just like yours, right? Let me help you, my sweet little twin~"Laugh...make them laugh! I want them to be happy! Yes...laugh, laugh!" She said with her own laughter, one that would cause many to shudder.
So, she closed her eyes happily, letting her 'twin' take over fully. Actually, only one of her eyes closed, leaving the other wide open for 'Twin'. Her 'twin' smirks, calmly walking toward the kitchen. When there, 'she' picks up the glinting butcher knife laying so innocently on the dark wood table as moonlight peeked through the window curtains, smirk growing with each step 'she' took.
Knife in hand, 'she' heads for 'her twin's' parents bedroom. They were in bed, sleeping soundly. Oh, that just won't do.
"Laugh...I hear them laughing! That's....laughter....isn't it...?"Gemina's eye slowly opens...
"No...""I made them laugh to death! I'm such a nice twin, right~? Now, I'll make everyone else laugh as well~!""Why...why...!""Shhh...don't cry, my little twin! I know, I'll sing you a small song~!
Laugh little twin, it's okay.
I'll make all the pain go away.
Don't you dare shed a tear, because I'll always be here.
My sweet twin on your behalf, I'll make everybody loudly laugh.
Laugh, laugh, laugh!
Laugh, laugh, laugh~!
Just like in your shattered dreams, laughter sounding like painful screams.
Hey little twin, didn't you know? You can't spell laughter without slaughter!
Something I will proudly show.
Laugh, laugh, laugh!
Laugh, laugh, laugh~!
I promise you, I'll always make you laugh, too~"So, she laughs...smiling as happily as her blood-stained smiley faces.

To put it simply, Gemina created her 'twin' when she was a young child, because of loneliness. She wanted love, a friend, but her 'twin' began changing into something she greatly feared, in all actuality, her sadness mixed together with anger to create a complete monster. No-one noticed these things since Geminis are said to be good at hiding their true feelings.
I'm a huge fan of horror stories and characters, so I really wanted to make one myself. Instead of giving her a real twin, Gemina has a split personality that she believes is her twin...Everyday I'm derpin'. I wanted to make a full story about her life, starting from her birth, but I don't have the time whatsoever.
When writing the fail song, I was humming "Hush little baby" ...try singing it with that melody.
